  • In 1973, Trump was president of Trump Management, his father’s realty company. They ran about 40 apartment buildings. Mainly in NYC.

  • That year, a complaint was filed by the federal government against him, his father and Trump Management because they allegedly violated the Fair Housing Act. A black man asked about a two-bedroom apartment on March 18 for a complex in Brooklyn, but the superintendent said nothing was available. The man’s wife, who was white, went in the next day and asked about the same complex and she received an application on the spot.

Clinton said Trump "was getting sued by the Justice Department for racial discrimination in his apartment buildings.”
