Between 1979 and 1980, the contractor that Trump hired to demolish a Manhatten building hired 200 undocumented Polish workers to meet tight deadlines. This building was demolished to make way for the Trump Tower. The employees worked 12-hour shifts at $4–$5 an hour and were paid off the books. No overtime was given.
