On Sunday of our Philly trip, we decided to check out the Philadelphia Magic Gardens (shoutout to my friend Allison who recommended them!)

The gardens are an art project from Isaiah Zagar. He creates mosaic murals all over Philly and the gardens are meant to preserve his art and inspire others.
The whole thing is a work in progress as Zagar continues to add to the gardens. It began in 2002 when he started working on the lot without the owner's knowledge, and when it was stated that he needed to tear the whole thing down, the community gathered together with him to help it become a non-profit.
